Randy Pausch was a professor at Carnegie Mellon. He held his last lecture September 18th 2007 knowing that he would not have many months to live. He names the lecture “Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams” where he talks about his own dreams as well as the dreams of others and how to make your own dreams come true and helping others do the same.
I strongly suggest that you watch this video!
Randy’s Youth Dreams:
- Being in zero gravity
- Play in the NFL
- Writing an article published in an Encyclopediu
- Being Captain Kirk
- Winning stuffed animals
- Being a Disney imagineer

I’m not sure how i stumbled upon your blog, but I’ve enjoyed my short stay. Watched first 50 minutes, then the last three of this one, and found the talk to be touching. Glad I found it. Also, I saw your photo essay of Reykjavik (sp?). Very nice. Looks like a nice place to live, if you can deal with the cold. (it’s not for me)
Thanks for the interesting posts.
Ted
