A few years ago I was introduced to an MLM company (who will remain nameless for now). To begin with I was slightly interested and spent some time and money because I thought this was something that could work for me. Needless to say my success was limited and my interest level sank. All the money I spent was forgotten.
Just recently I read a book by a woman called Ann Sieg. She had similar experience and even uglier – because she harassed her friends and family and did all what she was told by her “up line”. Unfortunately there is a lot of hype and downright lies in traditional MLM. The companies seem to care mostly for themselves and not the average Joe or Jane on the street.
The book I read is called “The Renegade Marketer” and tells Ann’s story about how she turned things around until she was able to beat the network marketing companies in their own game. In fact I think the book is useful even if your marketing efforts are NOT in network marketing.
The “secret” is to create your own information product business and add network marketing products that fit your own line.
